Bus station NPP Dukovany

Idea projektu

The main idea was to create a modern new station, which will meet all the requirements of operation, function and will have a positive approach to all age and social groups. Emphasis was placed on maintaining the height level in relation to the surrounding buildings. The architectural expression emphasizes its functionality, usability and importance in the plant. As the main roofing material, polycarbonate is used in a milky shade due to the shading from the sun, which will be carried by the steel structure. The building of the sanitary facility and the background for the driver is clad with PUR panels in a gray shade - semi-gloss.

Popis projektu

Definition and character of the building The topic of the studio work is the revitalization of the existing bus station, which is used to transport nuclear power plant (NPP) Dukovany employees to and from work. Today's railway station does not correspond in its appearance or layout to the representative function of the boarding area to one of the most important plants in the Czech Republic. The project monitors the integration of the construction into the environment of the defined area of the NPP Dukovany in the context of the surrounding structure of the built-up area. The scope and type of proposed interventions in a given place respect the importance of the plant. The bus station will be used by employees of all ages and social groups, people of working age, seniors, students and young people. The building is designed clearly and with regard to the barrier-free movement of immobile persons with limited mobility. Character and territory of the building The existing station is located in the pre-race zone of the power plant with a longitudinal axis perpendicular to the entrance to the plant. The reconstruction proposal is based on this location, however, it offered to release this axis for a representative entry into the area and at the same time used the land area as economically as possible. The organization of transport was modified in accordance with the connection to the existing public road. The existing parking system was not disrupted. There is also a bus station nearby. The terrain of the plot is mostly flat with a slight slope. Urban solution The aim of the proposal is to create a station with 12 separate covered platforms, where in one of them there is a sanitary facility and facilities for drivers in a strategic place. At the gatehouse building there is a covered area for passengers to get out. Emphasis was placed on the best possible use of land, logical arrangement of roads and platforms. The revitalized area will be supplemented with new greenery in the form of mature trees, shrubs and similar cultures that fit into this environment. Layout solution The newly built station has 12 separate platforms for passengers to leave the race and an area in front of the gate for exit. The toilet building and facilities are located in the middle of the station. Toilets for the public (men, women) with separate entrance are designed. The section for drivers is entered from the vestibule, followed by a living room with kitchenette, hallway and toilets for men and women. The background is complemented by a cleaning room, which is connected to the toilet for the public. The building is followed by a covered leeward, where on one of the walls there can be an information board with departure times. The building is optimally lit thanks to the appropriately chosen placement of windows and skylights.

The whole structure will be built on footings and reinforced concrete slabs. Basic acreage Land area: 9 274 m2 Built-up area: 4,320 m2 Usable area: 39,340 m2 Built-up area: 125 280 m3 Estimated costs: 751,680,000 CZK
