EN Hejčín now and here A couple of pubs, a cafe, I only buy bread at Penny. One gentleman who writes a local blog and one roundabout that has already circled the whole country. One development after another is springing up here. Traffic is not addressed. But despite all this, Hejčín is a beautiful place for young families and home to several local schools. The former science building is such a haunt here. From the original design, only one module was built, which resembles a breadbox rather than a building. There are different views of it, and of course it is a feather in people's caps. After all, few people want to look at the cover, which oozes the despair of the city administration. Mostly, the city has decided to demolish the building. But why? The structure is not significantly damaged, the building still survives and the only reason it is dilapidated is because it is abandoned. The latest excuse is that the Transportation Department is moving here. The citizens' bureau is moving from the centre to the periphery, without better public transport, in an already traffic-laden area. Great for the city, not so great for Hejčín. But for us, it is the perfect opportunity for an architectural response to the times we live in right now. Never before has a headline meant so much. When one headline can change the course of an election, when one headline can make a minister go away. Because there is no time to read whole sentences. We're going digital and moving everything online, all communication has accelerated rapidly. We no longer own, we rent. And if we have anything, it's increasingly on small hard drives. And then there's the corona. It came out of nowhere and stopped life as we knew it. But in light of these events, the Internet was ready. In this formula, the virus is merely the catalyst for the mill wheels already turning. But it has shown us questions that we might not normally ask until years from now. Will open-space need to be revised? Will we live only indoors anymore, or will we live outdoors as well? Will we build at all? For us, the answer became to use these characteristics both formally and programmatically. And to immerse ourselves in a world of objects that talk to each other or help each other. slice At the beginning of everything was the slice. A saw came and cut a slice from a loaf of bread. It took with it the most functional part of the original building. He became a technician. Almost a separate purpose-built building, but one on which the existence of the original depends entirely. Without it, the other building could not exist. It contains the lungs, the brain and the digestive tract. Part of it is used as a data centre, and that mediates its activities elsewhere. The data center is slowly becoming the heart of the neighborhood, even though no one has ever physically been there. urinal The roof, however, is now useless. It finds a new agenda, relaxed and cultural. It is becoming a community space for the citizens of Hejčín. A similar analogy to Duchamp's occurs here. He changed a hanging sanitary object into a lying art object. Here, the reclining sanitary object is suspended from the side of the building and the original object is filled with artistic value. brush At first it would seem to just add communication, but not only that. He begins to slowly clean the building, partially exposing a piece of bread where he brings light and air to allow the piece to flourish. It's hard to know if that's a good thing about bread. It's always hard to fit something in somewhere, especially when your context comes at the end of the semester. But what helps is to pin it down and hang it on a peg. Ale i přes to všechno, je Hejčín krásným sídlem mladých rodin a domovem pro několik místních škol. Takovým strašákem je tu bývalý objekt přírodovědy. Z původního návrhu se postavil pouze jeden modul, který než budovu spíše připomíná chleba. Pohledy jsou na ni různé, pro lidi je samozřejmě pěstí na oko. Na obálku, ze které čiší beznaděj městské správy, se přece jen málokdo chce dívat. Povětšinou se město usneslo budovu zbourat. Avšak proč? Statika není nijak výrazně poničena, budova stále přežívá a jediným důvodem proč chátra je její opuštěnost. Nejnovější záminkou se stal přesun dopravního magistrátu právě sem. Úřad pro občany se z centra stěhuje na periférii, bez lepší hromadné dopravy, do již dopravou zatížené oblasti. Pro město supr, pro Hejčín asi zas tak ne. Avšak pro nás je dokonalou možností na architektonickou reakci vůči době, ve které právě teď žijeme. Nikdy ještě titulek neznamenal tolik, co dosud. Kdy jedna nálepka může změnit vývoj voleb, kdy díky jednomu titulku může odejít ministr. Není totiž čas číst celé věty. Digitalizujeme a všechno přesouváme na internet, celá komunikace se rapidně zrychlila. Už nevlastníme, ale pronajímáme. A pokud něco máme, je to čím dál častěji na malých harddiscích. A do toho ještě přišla korona. Ta přilétla z nenadání a zastavila život, jaký jsme doposud znali. Avšak ve světle těchto událostí, internet byl připraven. V tomto vzorci je virus pouze katalyzátorem, již točících se mlýnských kol. Avšak ukázala nám otázky, na které bychom se možná normálně ptali až za pár let. Bude potřeba revidovat open-space? Budeme žít už jen vevnitř nebo i venku? Budeme vůbec stavět? Pro nás se stalo odpovědí těchto charakteristik jak formálně, tak i programově využít. A ponořit se do světa objektů, které spolu mluví nebo si pomáhají. krajíc Na počátku všeho byl řez. Přišla pilka a z bochníku chleba odřízla jeden krajíc. Ten si sebou vzal to nejfunkčnější z původní budovy. Stal se technikem. Téměř samostatnou účelovou budovou, na které však plně závisí existence té původní. Bez ní by ta druhá nemohla žít. Jsou v ní jak plíce, mozek tak ale i trávicí trakt. Část je využita na datové centrum, a to zprostředkovává její působnost i na jiných místech. Datové centrum se pomalu stává srdcem čtvrti, i když v něm fyzicky nikdo nikdy nebyl. pisoár Střecha je však teď bezúčelná. Nachází si nový program, uvolněný a kulturní. Stává se komunitním prostorem pro občany Hejčína. Dochází zde k podobné analogii jako u Duchampa. Ten měnil visící sanitární objekt na ležící umělecký objekt. Tady se ležící sanitární objekt zavěšuje z boku budovy a původní objekt se naplňuje uměleckou hodnotou. kartáč Zprvu by se zdálo, že jen přidává komunikaci, ale nejen to.
