Addition and subtraction through my eyes
I drew inspiration for both works from nature. In nature we can find adicium almost everywhere - flowers, leaves, branches, fruits... I chose stems for my work, from which I created lookout towers that would not only be a diversification of the city centre, but also a resting place close to nature. Nature is constantly changing and evolving. Animals, plants and people are born, grow up and die. Everything around us is in constant motion. One animal that is rapidly changing the nature around us is the bark beetle. It shortens the life of our forests. It's gradually eating its way into the bark of the trees. They're weakening because they don't have enough nutrients. On the first model, I emphasized the idea of surface pathways that lead to the destruction of the "core" of the tree. But gradually I brought the idea of pathways into the space, which also achieved a form of wood decay. The result was an object that could be a monument to forests destroyed by bark beetle.
