Freezer and cooling room for meat, fruit and vegetables

Idea projektu

Refrigeration and freezer plants are very energy-intensive and are only economical for large volumes of refrigerated goods. However, the replacement of conventional energy sources with solar energy has led to considerations of the implementation of smaller cooling capacities, only partially or completely independent of energy grids. Facilities designed in this way could be used for primary production to process and produce regional foodstuffs. The production and distribution of these foods significantly reduces the demands on logistics and offers jobs to local citizens.

Popis projektu

The location of the building is focused on agricultural brownfield sites. Now it will partially use the brownfield area near the village of Jevišovka in the Břeclav district. The land is unshaded and thus provides a sufficient amount of sunlight. The sun shines on solar panels for an average of 1600-2000 hours per year. Of the total solar energy in South Moravia, 75% falls in the period from April to October and the remaining 25% in the period from October to April. This results in 950-1340 kWh per m2 per year. The building of the former agricultural brownfield is loosely connected to the village of Jevišovka. The longer side is aligned with the road and is partially covered by a maple alley. The whole complex also includes a photovoltaic power plant, which does not shade or disturb the overall impression in any way. The main intention was to divide the three largest parts, the administrative, service and production parts. Furthermore, separate the entrances for employees and the entry of trucks. It was also necessary to turn the freezer and cooling rooms to the correct cardinal direction so that the sun would shine on them as little as possible. This resulted in an L-shape with different ceiling heights according to the needs. Three of the four roofs of different heights are covered by a photovoltaic power plant, the last one is covered with extensive greenery with the possibility of seating.

Technické informace

The structural design is based on a wall and column system. Building The administration is made of aerated concrete load-bearing blocks, sheathed from the outside with sheet metal panels of Atena spol. The halls themselves are made of reinforced concrete columns iprofiles clad with sandwich panels from the TRIMO group. Freezers are further away lined with Kingspan insulation panels.
