Zástavba okolí nádraží Praha - Horní Měcholupy
Idea projektu
The project assignment was to design and develop the railway station area in Horní Měcholupy, Prague 16. The design concept was based on factors influencing the given area. The existing pedestrian path leading to the station is preserved through a connecting overpass linking the individual platforms.
Popis projektu
The existing noise barrier, which was poorly designed, was removed and replaced by two large structures – an office building and a polyclinic – which naturally provide noise protection. The height of the buildings complies with the zoning plan. Entrances to the overpass, which is barrier-free, were created in areas with the highest expected pedestrian traffic. Smooth passage through the area is ensured by pedestrian pathways. The waiting rooms in the polyclinic are well-lit thanks to the removal of a central section of the building’s mass. The platform roofing on the side facing Prague is integrated into the volume of the building, while the platform on the opposite side is designed as a separate steel structure running along its entire length. Both buildings have full basement levels. Outdoor recreational areas for employees have also been created.
Technické informace
The vertical structural elements are designed as monolithic reinforced concrete skeletal systems, supplemented by monolithic reinforced concrete cores at the locations of vertical communication. The horizontal structures are designed as monolithic reinforced concrete slabs. The bridge structures are made of steel truss construction. The glazed surfaces consist of a lightweight perimeter shell. The entire building has a basement, which houses underground parking garages.
