The project is designing a general central library in Benghazi city,Libya, providing its services to citizens of different classes and age groups and in the latest methods, as part of the process of cultural building of the state and a means of communication with countries and exchange of cultures.
Historically, the library in the city did not meet the requirements of development and modernity, and also it has no capacity for thousands of books and publications that the world produces every day.
The design provided a link to the architectural fabric and gave the modernity of architectural entity, and the project became had an identity that reflects the function through the concept.
The library is designed to be easy to access by linking the entrances to the movement axes of the adjacent urban fabric.
The reading area for children is located on the ground floor and overlooks the landscape to allow adding an external reading area for children .
The library consists of the Department of Administration, the Department of Finance, the Department of Provision, the Department of Programming and Communication, the Department of Services, the Department of Periodicals, the Department of Reading, the Department of Audiovisual Technologies, with an area of 12000 m 2.
Drawing is done by hand and software to prepare the idea.
