Food is one of our basic needs and agriculture is always been the backbone of every country that needs to feed its people. Especially in Malaysia, our country used to ve called as an agrarian country whereby Malaysia was one of the important sectors of Agriculture. Agriculture has been a backbone sector of the Malaysia economy by producing products for domestic consumption as the earner of foreign exchange. But now in the mids of urban growth and the increasing food demand, food production is shrinking since farmland is encroached by housing, office, and other building typology for higher economic benefits. Consequently, food now has to be brought from further with more time & energy waste. if this kind of urban development continues, it will cause the country in-depth and deteriorate our environment & quality of life

Target User - The youth are agriculture's future: because the world's farming population is getting older. As young people increasingly choose city life. Lack of youth in agriculture may cause a food crisis. As the graf has shown proof to us that the years go by the younger generation now are participating in the agriculture and agro-based industry.
Concept - Transformation
"transformation" the concept was taken by the CityFarmer ( client ) of their common vision which is the enrich lives and to have a sustainable future. Driven from their commitment, passion, and multidisciplinary they are willing to make a change to bring enlightenment to the country.
Expressive Element - Green Lacewing ( insects beneficial for farmers)
Green Lacewing is a group of insects that are characterized by a complex network of wing veins that give them a lacy appearance based on the insects which were inspired by its CIRCLE OF LIFE which characterized as the development from an egg into a fully grown adult. From this message specks that LIFE THER IS NO SHORTCUTS, BUT GOING THROUGH OBSTACLES AND TRANSFORMATION IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE SOMETHING GREATER.
Senses in the SPACE
Vision - the guide & attract customers throughout the retail spaces & and create layers of the atmosphere in the space.
Hear - Alertness is what happening in the retail space & feels the presence of nature.
Smell - the smell of nature to let customers immerse themselves in the spaces in the interior.
Taste - Allows customers to directly taste the freshness of the vegetable.
Feel - Allow customers to directly taste the refreshment of the vegetables.
The 3 R's
Reduce - the concept of reducing is produced and what is consumed is essential to the waste hierarchy
Reuse - things you keep that are broken or that have not used.
Recycle - recycle means that it will be transformed again into a raw material that can be shaped into a new item.
Lobby - as you walk into the lobby, the reception expressed the concept of ag and n egg of the green lacewing and on top of is signifying The Circle Of Life. The stairs structure expressed the lacewing which gives and uplifts in the design. As you can see also the rusted metal material which applies is recyclable. the water feature gives a natural cooling system towards the interior space.
Grocer Area - the grocer area structure design is a hydroponic system where vegetables are able to pluck out freshly for the customers to buy and it runs around the whole interior space. The design expressed an egg that is protected with the silk of its mother.
Cafeteria - The Cafeteria is for people relax and to able to communicate and to share the knowledge with each other. The design expresses the movement of its wings swinging up and down.
Hydroponic Area - the hydroponic area is powered by the flow of the water which is collected from the rainwater. When the turbine moves it helo generates power which is useful for consuming natural electrical supplies. Last but not least the fish in the pond which is very useful for its waste for the benefit for the plants to grow healthier. the design expresses the journey LIFE DOESN'T END HERE BUT LIFE GOES AROUND A CIRCLE.
Urban Leisure Farm - after walking through the lobby you are able to have a glance at its beautiful interior leisure farm area. With a wide void on top of the ceiling able to give the photosynthesis needed the plants to grow. The design expresses the X sign which was inspired of the Green Lacewings veins.
Office - the office area is for staff members to do their work in a nature-based concept.
Conference Room - The conference room is a place where people have meetings and discussions. The materials used in the interior space are mostly reusable old doors to enhance the design to implement the R's. The ceiling design expresses the green lacewing body structure.
Co-cooking area - co-cooking area is an area to help nurture the children and adults to understand what the importance of nutrition and also what can we do to make vegetables taste tastier. The design expresses the comfort feeling of being safe life an egg in its shell.
1st Floor Lobby - the second-floor structure from the reception up to the 1st floor.
Urban Farm - this urban farming whereby people are able to come and help plant or either getting the acknowledgment on how the hydroponic system runs. The feature was inspired by the development model of its walkthrough urban farm to give people a sense of refreshment.
