School of now: a space for the new wave of music and visual arts

Project idea

the project is a chance to think about the architectural space form and function, in a way that could deal with the new trends, where space more than box but a flowing environment that make the inside meet the outside in harmony,
add to that give these spaces to users that have mindsets that don't match all the tags the produced in the past, users who looking to spaces that could incubate their art science and sounds and to meet people that enjoy the same type of aesthetics.

Project description

next to the Miskolci street, a land with triangular shape mediates between recreational spaces residential buildings and open green line and with a calm waterfront on the rákóczi stream. an interesting location for the project concept.
the project consists of two structural systems, together they give a variety of spaces, one of them is acting more like a canopy or shelter for the project plot, this canopy is supported by hollowed pillars, which goes down smoothly from the upper surface of the canopy to the ground affected by the power of the gravity, trying to have benefited from the hollow spaces for to support the function, a wooden waffle structure is applied as a structural solution with two types of joints to make the wooden louvers more flexible in terms of performing the canopy curvature.
the other main structure is a utensil form flows inside the project plot, ending with either bulge (classrooms) or an open-end connect with vertical service cores. the structure of these forms could reinforce concrete surface site-cast or precast, or it could be printed via additive manufacturing technologies.

Technical information

the visual content of the project contains conceptual details for the project
-starting from the general plan which shows the relation between the surrounding street and the stream bank, trying to make a rational and simple landscape to connect the building with the riverbank.
-The first-floor plan shows the relation between the two types of structures and how to connect with the project services, as well as how the vessel structure acts as a classroom or suspended bridge or structural elements.
-A detailed scope of the second floor is provided. focusing on the vessels structure cell's details like opening isolation ....etc.
- Two intersect sections to show the details of the waffle structure, and the isolation layers and its finishing.
- an elevation for the three sides of the triangular plot, the main idea that this drawing show is the cutting edge of the curved surfaces which will give chance to the people to think about the form origin and continuity, as well as the building is closed with the curtain wall system, so the transparency will make the inside more interesting to experience it.
in the end, as I mentioned earlier, it is just building is it is an experiment to foster the imagination of the future spaces
