Project idea

Project location - Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The project's name is "Harbour". The main image is a ship sailing into a small sea harbor, a harbor that you don’t want to leave. The harbour has got everything that you need for an exciting pastime. The main factors that served me as a key to creating a harbor space: Multifunctionality Culture Comfort Entertaiment With this concept i try to make a unique space, that will exsist thanks to the basic principles of sustainable development.3 problematic principles of sustainable development for Dubai - quality of education, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy.

Project description

There are 3 type of the functional areas: Living area, amusement area, educational area. The site is filled functionally to make residents and guests feel the interest and desire to spend time here.
The main object is multicomfort building "Harbour".The building form unites historical and modern architecture . The dynamic facade emphasizes the marine theme.
The area has long embankment filled by different interactive functions.
Multilevel multifunctional pedestrian paths covered with a special canopy with solar panels. They combine the main functional areas and are also observation platforms and places for recreation.
Museum of Dhow
The national treasure of Dubai is the Dow boat, in whose honor a whole complex was set up on the site of the former shipyard. This is the first museum of this type. A ship shaped museum complex. It's consists of 3 blocks: 1.The largest part - the main exposition of the museum of shipbuilding and navigation 2. The small block - an educational center for children's creativity, coaching and workshops 3. The most interesting part of the Museum. Here everyone can participate in the construction of a boat and the descent of this boat to the water.
Restaurant of the International Cuisine where you can not only eat well, but also take lessons from famous chefs from all over the world

The Distillation station was used to solve the problem with lack of clean water.The station is based on cheap and commercially available nanoparticles that absorb about 80% of the sunlight, generating heat. In combination with these nanoparticles, the membrane becomes a one-way heating element, which does not require an additional source of energy. . Thanks to the pumping plant, the water from the channel gets into this compartment, it distills and enters the irrigation system and partially into the house. This device produces 6 liters per hour per square meter.
This territory has problems with overheating. I use kinetic façade and special sage glass.
Waffle canopy - solution to the problem of overheating. Thanks to the solar panels and cooling system, the space under the canopy becomes pleasant for walking. This system works without extra energy and allows not only to take shelter in the shade, but also to enjoy a cool and sea breeze. The canopy plane is deployed in the direction of the prevailing wind. Mini-engine cooler, working on solar energy, attracts air flows under the canopy and through the holes in the trunk of the structure gives a cool inside. Canopies standing in the water have water sprayers. The water in them gets from the engine and is sprayed under a canopy.
