The aim of the project is to transform the antique space with minimal alterations, as traces of ancient paintings have been preserved on the walls. The project is also eco-friendly, as it uses mostly natural materials.
Our project is a small space that is divided into three levels. On the first, the lower level, there is a sculpture made of plexiglass, the shape of the sculpture's boats being the inspiration for the exhibition's name: swimming. The second level features fine graphics created by steeping sheets of paper in manganese and burning through them. The third level includes black sculptures on hangers made of carefully trimmed borax, which complement the larger black work. Together they form a harmonious ensemble.
The exhibition took place at the historic house on Tolstoy street 7 in Vitebsk, Belarus
