SYZYGY

Project idea

"Syzygy" in Chinese culture means "new." On the first day of each lunar month, the moon undergoes a new cycle of changes. With this in mind, we have named our project "Syzygy," aiming to bring the people of Ukraine a perpetual sense of new hope.

Project description

We aim to create a fire station where firefighters can feel as comfortable as they do at home. To achieve this, we separate the working and resting environments and organize the space according to functionality. The first floor is primarily dedicated to "rapid response" activities, while the second floor serves as the "administrative and logistics" area to support the rapid response teams. The third floor is designed for "daily living" purposes. Altogether, we have three distinct activity zones.

Technical information

The main structure of this building is constructed using reinforced concrete for safety considerations. Wood is incorporated into the design for the roof and certain interior features as embellishments.
