First Panel
Using historical approach is a good thing, but using a locked shackle to describe the creativity of Ben Enwonwu wasnt a good thing though...
in my opinion, you shouldnt mix this unless you wanted to show the audience how Ben Enwonwu struggle with slavery despite of being a creative artist..
Your extracomplicated concept started with plactic recycled material, liberty symbolism, fotovoltaik and slaveries are overwhelmed. its hard for audience or user to understand this kind of dialog. especially on how this conseptual parts connect each other so it can strengthen the mutual understanding of Ben Enwonwu's creative work.
Second panel (precedent)
Guggenheim (Wright) and NMAAHC (Adjaye) speak simpler concept that can be easily understand by communities through times. This precedent should be explored more carefully.
Thrid Panel (Site selection and conceptual dev)
Does the site had a historical relationship to Ben Enwonwu?
Eventhough this museum shared the mutual enviroment with National Theater Nigeria, i cant feel the connection each other. It seems detached from the context.. it should reconsider the strongest axis and respond it accordingly. You can also use Datum to help the consistency of the neighborhood.
Fourth Panel (Site Development Plan)
I like the siteplan. Solid and Void was well compossed
On chackle A, i see a grand stair but no ramps... you should reconsider the disabled people wiser.
On Chain Walkway views, the scale and forms are well compossed... nicely done :)
Fifth Panel (Floor Plans)
Shackle A - The plan was great, you consistently use a radial geometric approaches.
Sgackle B - I see you want to create a continuous path from room to room. this is also a vary good job. but, i cannot see the evacuation systems that suitable enough in this panel. it is a crucial parts of designing a museum.
Sixth Panel (Section perspective)
I know im not familiar enough to Ben Enwonwu's art and i've basic research on his wellknown pieces of art such as
"Dogari", 1949
"Father and Son"
"Fulani Girl of Rupp", 1949
"Head of Hausa", 1958
"Head of Yoruba Girl"
"Man with Banana Leaf"
"Nkatamuo"
"Waterside Scene", 1950
And According to this research, i cant find any reasons why did you use a linear gesture and tringaluation pattern facade. i also cant find the correlation between slavery and liberty either.
well... overall, this is a good project indeed. be a starchitect. I hope your work can inspire many people...
thnks Abdul, Cheers from Indonesia.
