The Philosophic Story, on personal level, of Architecture and it´s development. From basic idea to real conclusion... This video is trying to explain, how I developed and work on idea, of application of universe, human existence and human free will. It is based, and was lead by theme of the main studio works at my university. So I, like my pears in the group, was starting with short showcase of film, we have chosen as our favorite. Mine was Star wars the clone wars, Battle of Christophsis (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFH7pRBCbVM) and my ideas was deeply inspired by documentaries like: Time-lapse of The Universe (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uD4izuDMUQA).I started by story and ended by one...1. chapter : Light As our projects has started, we were focused on light i the scene. My problem was that in my showcase, I had synthetic light. That, got me thinking... Light is just reflection of our eyes and is being read by our brains. So light does not even really exists. It is only reflection, only stream of energy caught by our senses, and explained by our nature. 2. chapter: PerspectiveIt got me thinking.... "Paradoxly" what else in our existence (applied to architecture) is "lie". So I tested perspective. I took the idea of long street visible in my scene. I made raw looking model for experimenting. Idea was to have movable parts of model and see how perspective and space it self will change by moving for example: what was road is now a ramp, which can move up o down. It makes it look longer or shorter, or in the other perspective, the placement of camera.3. chapter: point of viewSo the light and perspective are relative, mater is only high concentration of energy, which is consumed by dark energy. So what is point of view of our dying universe? That was a question in my mind while making the raw model of chapt.2. bigger, in stated measurements for assignment. while I was cutting the material, I have put parts of it on top of each other. And when I was having break, i have put them in different way this time, next to each other. That was the point I realized that the answer for existence is, free will and human ideas and mind as whole. So I made my model to two identical parts. Those I gave to some people (in future I will address them as ACTORS).4. chapter: Systematic chaosAfter my "discovery", I decided that I want to explore this topic more.So I again made the model of same measurements (making the same cube which was assigned to me by studio) Bud this tame we were using addition. I made a system of towers, which i made of similar cubes (again). This module i symmetricly placed on the base (street) and added some bridges (visible in movie scene).I made cubes moveable and bridges as well. Than I again ask actors to move and play with project with simple rules (1st. everyone had done 10 rounds by 3 moves (cube or bridge). 2nd. if they accidentally moved or pushed other cubes by moving one, it was still counting as one move and last but not least: after each one round they randomly switched, so nobody has been doing two rounds in row ). They also did it without them knowing what it is for, and I was photographing every their move. Than I made a stop motion video to vitalize how human will can transform universe , and change it dramatically and keep changing it for whole our existence, but still bound by rules of physic. 5. chapter : Man and earthAfter that realization, I focused my self on Life, and intelligent life particularly. I came up with idea that this planet... this seeming small geoid lost somewhere inside of nothing, is special. Because it is alive. That is why we are so special. So I was thinking: What is the evidence of us living... To answer that I did a 10 minutes brainstorming on my work place window... I realized that there are 5 signs of life, which after association with architecture lead me to : Table, bed, Ladder , door and window. 6th. and most important element of living architecture is human and life itself. So I decided to capture other five as some kind of lines (2D markings ) which I will put in x/y/z axis structure (3D).Using 6th. measure of life, actors, and using light in space as code.Easily sad, I made light capturing of actors wearing neon bracelets, interacting with other 5 elements (table, bed....).Than I made average of my findings. Draw it, cut it and put it on 3D axis. That left me with my "Axis model"6th. chapter: Application Now with my "Axis model" I needed to give it some "volume". so I made another mode, this time from wood (exact copy but little smaller because of practical reasons) and cover it with foil. This I covered with gypsum and waited to dry out. Now I had 3D naturally looking model, which I applied as small livable recreation hut on coastline. I figure out that, it would by made mostly of natural materials (clay, wood) and simplistic design with no real measurements. Simple but with strong idea and story... Paradoxly ? Like human life it self.
