The attempt of the student to address the alarming issue of nuclear waste is commendable.
The tower as proposed will be a very prominent landmark for the city as seen in the images. As the area is a seismic zone the elevation of a very tall structure seems inappropriate. However even if the law allows a tall structure such as this, as a design intervention in a low lying urban development the tower might be viewed as an eyesore rather than a landmark.
Can the tritium be processed in a low rise structure ?
The bold design depicts confidence of the student , but a sensitivity to surrounding urban forms need to be respected
