Jin Song has shown his aesthetic ability in producing a fine presentation for the project. The idea about technological advancements from materials to building systems is great. However, the architecture doesn’t show strong reflection expressing the key ideas through architectural components that people can experience and learn from to understand the correlations among building’s components, ideas, technologies, surrounding natural components.
Raising the buildings on steel stilts creates strong statement about both separation and connection between architecture and site. This supports your idea about creating a place to enhance people’s experience of nature (and architecture in nature). Since the buildings are set on an interesting and valuable unique topography they may not need to be set on the same flat elevation— same as the central platform, it could response and make use of the rolling topography and create complex relationships among the buildings themselves and between buildings and surrounding nature.
