Your first slide I like the most.
I like these old ornamental windows which mostly were a major part of Christianity churches. Designed on large drawings or transparent papers. Mostly in a 1:1 scale, so they could also be used as templates. Imagine all done by hand, bent over for many hours to get them perfect.
There was the human connection from the brain over the hand to the paper. No mechanics, no computer, no calculators. Just a human being creating these beauties with talents, fantasy, and intuition … lasting for many centuries.
Today time is money, and the time of bending over drafting boards is over. We are looking through the glass into the future. We have to lose ourselves from time to time from these screens, and go out where the real-life is, see it, feel it, hear it, smell it by using all our senses … the computer cannot give you that.
I see the great effort you both have put into this project, analyzing, studying, comparing with different solutions and options. Technically you went all the way with this idea, right to the final facade. Unfortunately, you lost on the way the meaning and idea of the ornamental shape and form. Do you think that anybody would find any relation to your gothic windows? Normally I would like to motivate you, especially for the great effort you invested in this project.
The building itself is very different in regards to the surrounding neighborhood. Everybody has a different taste, as I said many times before, architecture is an emotional experience.
Your nightly picture is interesting, because it stands on its own, not influenced by the neighboring structures. The colors, light, and transparency are a nice idea. Personally, I would have given the building the main floor base, and start from there wIth the ornamental facade. This base could be also glassy transparent, like a cube. Perhaps using one of the dominant colors.
Great effort, but you could not convince me totally. Make these shapes and forms your shape and forms, because nobody would have any idea where this is coming from. It confuses only your story.
Good luck!
