Good evening Elizaveta,
I'm Arch Nicholas Whitacre, one of this year's jurors, and I am here to give some feedback on your very interesting project.
The living area is contemporary with warm tones, mixed with the use of natural materials like wood and stone. Light is used to accent important areas or guide the user, for example, where the light over the dinning table flows into the hallway indicating where the "public" area leads into the private. Fabrics are an important part to the design. Its colors always in earth tones except for the chairs that have a reddish tone that is meant to be separate either meant to be an accent or to show that is has a different purpose than the sofa or sac next to the window. Natural light flows in from the giant glass doors that overlook the sea. Even though it is just one step up, the elevation close to the window gives a sense of seclusion and privacy.
The bedroom is brought together very well. Where the living/dinning room/kitchen is more neutral in its design, the bedroom is clearly more daring, having obviously been designed for someone of the creative type. Work, sleep and play have each their specific place in the room yet don't interfere with one another, if anything they complement each other. Personally, the black wall with wooden elements such as the guitar, shelves and table for the record player looks fantastic.
There is nothing to say about the bathroom. It follows the same clean look as the rest of the apartment with good choice of tiles, color tones, etc. The front and back walls have white tile, while de sides have a brownish/grey tile that is perceived almost as wood. The wooden door in the middle of the white, in my perception, breaks the unity of the bathroom, but that is of my personal taste.
In conclusion, this is a solid design that accomplished everything set out to achieve. Wonderfully done.
Best Regards
Good evening, Nicholas Whitacre
Thank you very much for your feedback. I am glad that my idea is perceived exactly as I intended. You have paid attention to those places about which I did not even mean. Thank you very much for the detailed analysis of the project.
