Hola Matias
Well done on your project and presentation.
I list some points for your consideration:
1. Consider presenting some precedent studies with your work. There is an opportinity of sales from the perimeter of your floating platform i.e. people arriving on boats and purchasing from the edges of your platform, and the opportunity of people in boats selling from their boats to shoppers on the platform (Google: Floating markets in Asia);
2. What (in its functionality) makes your Market on the water any different to a market on the land? Is your premise a shortage of space in the year 2400? Perhaps better define your vision of 2400 and feed this into your conceptual thinking. Add to this your vision of socialising ("public space") in that year. Also, how will purchasing and ordering happen in the year? Will it be online to an extent?;
3. The reality of any object floating on the water, particularly one with a large roof (in effect a large sail), is that the wind is going to want to move your structure away from its moorings. It would be good to better understand your structural solutions and its anchoring;
4. How will your services work (water supply, waste, power supply & storage (I see solar).
Best of luck!!!
Dear Kevin Bingham, thanks for the observations!
