First of all I thank INSPIRELI for granting me the honor of being able to evaluate this work.
My evaluation will focus on 3 criteria:
- Creativity
- Sustainability
- Technique
Creativity: The theme of the project is interesting, it seeks to draw attention to one of the world icons considering its grandeur and uniqueness. However, the project needs to be a little more daring. The green roofs were not very well explored and give the idea of being secondary items. They should have been better worked and provide contact with the people who will visit the building. Everest is a mountain full of surprises, adventures, and body-chilling challenges. The design should reflect this as well.
Sustainability: As I mentioned before, the green areas were not involved in a deeper way with the construction. In the current climate conditions, it is extremely important to work with nature, not only to reduce the effects of the buildings' impact on the planet, but also to make more people aware to preserve our home Earth even more.
Technique: The technique has to be improved. Regarding the graphic representation, it needs a lot of improvement. It is not perceived a unity in the presentation of the project and communication of the idea.
The images convey that they needed more work. For us architects, the communication of an idea is very important and should always be clear, direct and objective.
In conclusion, the project is an interesting idea, but it needs more work in order to express all its grandiosity, just like Everest.
