First of all, congratulations on this project with a strong concept that focuses on the history of the port of Beirut. I think your project has great potential. Each of the buildings on your proposal is conceptually strong.
The strength of the project is using architectural interventions as a reminder of the past. As such, preserving the silo building as a monument representing the deceased and proposing a bridge to let visitors explore the explosion spot are great ideas.
Hence, this makes me wonder if you could guide visitors more with a walking path that would connect the buildings and support your narrative. Maybe, you can think about a connection (not only visual) between the gallery silo building and the bridge.
The main axis between the city and the sea is quite strong but lacks human interactions. I suggest you think about the scenario of the space in between the buildings. What is happening there? What would I find when I follow this path all the way? Why do I follow this path?
You can also try to implement your beautiful ideas to these parts for a great user experience.
Dear Cagil Yurdakul Toker,
Thank you for this feedback, it was really interesting to work on this competion.
