A very nice dialogue has been offered with the existing underground ancient city.
Using light as an element of space is very elegant though the way of using light does not vary as we walk into different spaces. Some parts could have been soaking bigger light as some could have been more limited, therefore a hierarch/a scenario could have been for the light as well. This is a missed opportunity.
The whole project is presented in dark charcoal drawings that fit well with the concept. On the other hand, this kind of drawing gives a little bit gloomy feeling that might not go well with the ancient Greek spirit.
The design and the place are very original. On the other hand, its relationship with nearby settlements and possible daily uses are not involved. This is a missed chance I think.
With minor modifications, this impressive project can be transformed into a position that provides users with better experiences in terms of daily life alternatives, living/feeling light and having the pleasure of varying materials. Very promising design.
