I am sentimental about all the once vibrant, now abandoned buildings that hold the stories, the relationships of the people, the memories important to them,… more

The New born- New life project is an interesting project especially in terms of concept and function. The idea of giving a vibrant life to a building that was previously abandoned is valid and good. There are however three concerns: the first is regarding the relation between the building and the surrounding landscape and the further built-up area; the building does not seem well integrated with both, the second is about the bulkiness of the building, and the third is regarding the high repetition of the elements within the facades. One suggestion that could help deal with these issues is to do a more of a spiral stepping form that begins with a lower level and as a visual continuation with the street and gradually the levels increase while circulating around the cylindrical shape.
It would also be interesting to better link the interior court with the outside landscape to make it more accessible, and to further develop its design in relation to the facades of the court.
The conceptual sketch is good and expressive!
