Dear Mr Marek Hais,
Congratulations on your proposal. Its always interesting how an architect views abandoned and derelict spaces as a potential layer in the urban fabric, a layer that connects and gives a fresh new interface with its adjacencies. In the case of Štítného Street, the choice of context is much suited to this issue and is well responded to. The idea of provoking public participation via means of the front block is strategic in creating a responsive urban interfacing. I enjoy the domesticated scale of the public spaces in between the blocks, potentially creating an active public realm. Perhaps, accentuations towards the external spaces via graphical expressions of the many programs it can host would reinforce the notions put forward. If I may suggest, certain unique characterizations could also be given to each different blocks, and also perhaps a reactive façade on the ground level to blur the lines between the internal and external spaces. All the best Mr Hais!
