I have noticed that in this project, there are two themes underlying the design concept. The first theme relates to its function as a centre for developing local art and community. Based on this theme, I imagine the design will apply local art elements to be aesthetically pleasing. However, the design team raised another theme related to the design approach: environmental friendliness or sustainability. The second theme seems to be more dominant in the design. Buildings that are simple in shape, finishing that is not excessive, and minimal ornamentation are the things that I can find when observing the design drawings. This design is good, and if built, it might be able to accommodate the conceptualised activities. It's just that this design does not describe its function quite clearly. I can say that unfamiliar visitors won't recognize the facility's functionality just by looking at it, as should be the case with a successful design.
