The idea of the project which is of enhancing social interactions through visual exchanges is very relevant for a residential project. The selection of stairs as a significant design element for this purpose is the right choice. The connection of two blocks through a void that also allows ventilation and vistas, adds to the simpleness of the design and makes it lighter to the eyes. The simplicity of the building yet its contrast with nature (the color) is obvious. While although rectangular shape conforms to simplicity, the rigid form and shape is somehow disregarding the site context to a great extent and can be conceived as a building for any other site on flat land. I believe some attempts could have been made to receive inspiration from the immediate context (i.e., lines of contour, internal sections influenced by the slope, etc.) which would integrate the built form better in the particular site.
