Dear Clemens Jopp.
hope you are doing well, and my comments help you to improve your project.
first of all, your project nice, and you present your idea perfectly, the theme that you chosen beautiful, calm, pure which is illustration the purpose of your project the infinity.
but.
actually the functions in the project are poor. you can add many additional function to rich the project like marine museum for coral and sailing equipment, and training center for talented sailor,
the main idea that you are talking about is "Morjan" which mean coral, or artificial reef so you should study the foundation of the project more perfectly specially the foot in the water. to be sustainable and more adaptable with marine current and sea level rise.
i advise you to change the foundation in the water to which we called " living breakwater" for line component in the water
in fact its line breakwater based on special rocks that work to collective artificial reef and coral and create living natural environment can help to be more adaptable with sea currents for sea level rise from one side. and on the other side create special environment for your main projects by collecting morjan coral which people can come to see
sincerely
Dear Maram,
thank your for your time and feedback on the project! I appreciate your opinion on it!
The projects name "Marjan" was given based on the name of the peninsula. As far as I know the name is Roman origin and not related to corals specifically. Nevertheless, there are indeed valuable coral reefs in the area that could have been taken into account architectonically. I was a bit restricted in the programmatic size of the project by the school's task itself.
I will try to reduce concrete more in my future projects, as well as digging a bit deeper in local environmental considerations!
Best Clemens
