The difference between life and death is rehabilitation. This center will include training, counseling, and other activities that connect them to society and… more
This is a very wonderful design, the presentation and the layout are nice. My suggestion is that it will be better if the therapy, healing and accommodation are juxtaposed together. Seems the walking distance between the accomodations and therapy are a bit much.
To enhance interaction among the occupants, increase the number of tables in the dining area and reduce the number of chairs (4) per table. Smaller groups enhances better interaction than larger groups.
Dear Chinwendu Philip,
Thank you so much for your feedback. The guideline you have given, it means really precious to me and I will acknowledge them for my future design process. It feels so amazing to be connected from different parts of the world.
I would like to share with you my thought process about positioning Healing block and Accommodation at a bit distance. Firstly, I have choosen the zone to provide two different vehicular access from existing paths in the shortest possible distance. Secondly, I have provided an out patient department and various therapy programs at healing block. As skin issues can be contagious and there could be a risk from the outsiders coming to OPD,I have tried to resolve the issue by segregating them and positioning them at a bit distance. To utilise the distance as a benefit I have tried to bring the patients close to nature and to increase interaction between the inhouse patients, which will help to heal their psychological trauma. Also I have kept the pathway shaded to make the way more comfortable for them.
Thank you again for your time and knowledge sharing. This means a lot to me.
Regards.
