Re-purposing Abandoned Military areas into Community Solar Parks: Fostering Environmental Stewardship, Community Integration, and Resilient Urban Spaces in… more
Firstly, I would like to thank Tanvee Thapa, Vinayak Bhattacharya, Silvia Caremoli from Politecnico di Milano, Polytechnic University of Milan
To submit the project Which aims to create a harmonious alliance between energy systems and the diverse environments of abandoned areas, meaning the revitalization of those areas.
Some recommendations related to planning and design
1) From a planning standpoint The project extends to include broad dimensions at the regional level of the city of Italy Has the study of the strategy been launched from the inside out on the ground, or vice versa, because that
_will reflect the nature of the study?
_Historical tracking is explained in detail A picture of the historical trace of the region
_The analytical study of the project is extensive, but we need to have a land use plan defined with clear and explicit
_zones and divisions In terms of infrastructure, it can be said that relying on the new solar system will constitute a restructuring of the infrastructure of the region as a whole. Therefore, it can be said that the beginning will be very expensive.
_We did not see any kind of connection between the Lombardy region and neighboring regions in terms of production It is possible to benefit from the productivity of the project as a whole, not only for the region but also for the surrounding areas close to it
_Usually, when relying on solar cells, they are placed in a place far from population centers in order to protect the reflections resulting from the cells and panels and not to form a thermal dome in that area.
_Greenhouses are one of the environmentally friendly solutions But it also provides an opportunity for researchers in the agricultural field to expand research and experiments. It is possible to study housing for researchers and students and provide services When providing urban recreational activities, a bicycle path must be studied If there are restaurants, cafes, or entertainment units within the project, the service must be in a peripheral manner that does not penetrate the land and at the same time achieve the service.
Even greenhouses need warehouses sometimes The land can be accessed by more than one pedestrian entrance In such projects, it is necessary to establish a protection point for the project as a whole, especially places with direct contact with the main road
_It can be considered that the green reserve is the lung of the project, so it must be protected from potential dangers One of the main principles in the planning process is the presence of green spaces and water bodies. In our case, the green spaces were studied in a way that is compatible with the local environment. Considering that the project works to generate electrical energy, it is preferable to reduce the large bodies of water and replace them with ribbon water bodies (blue belt) that connects the levels on the ground as well. It is preferable to place it near greenhouses and pedestrian walkways designated for visitors
_In such projects a SOWT pickling scheme can be developed
2) In terms of design:
_It is preferable to have detailed plans for the blocks used in the project, such as the library, the cafeteria, and the cafeteria, and to show how to serve them.
_Conclusion The presented project is a unique attempt to create urban integration that contributes to the rehabilitation of abandoned areas on the one hand and the generation of clean energy on the other hand. With some observations, we can see very strong competition and a strong presence in the competition in the field of planning and environment. Engineers specialized in the field of urban planning must be consulted when needed.
All best wishes
