Designing interior architecture and shaping public spaces. more
Review of the Metodka school club at the Metodova gymnasium in Bratislava deserves the highest recognition for its innovative approach to space arrangement. The use of various installations and modular lighting introduces a new dimension to a previously unfurnished basement, creating a functional and aesthetic environment. The use of wood, perforations and the characteristic red color give the space a distinctive style that fits perfectly into the school's visual identification. Elements such as seating cylinders, trapezoidal bars and sliding partitions introduce diversity and dynamics, promoting fun and creative spending of time. The overall combination of installations, colors, surfaces and materials effectively transforms a long-neglected basement space into a friendly, safe and inspiring place for students. Designing modular interiors that can freely change their function or combine them has many positive aspects. The flexibility of space allows for easy adaptation of the interior to the changing needs of users, which is extremely practical in dynamic environments. Colors appropriately selected for specific zones of designed interiors influence the atmosphere and functionality of the rooms, for example, warm shades can promote relaxation, and cool shades increase concentration. The use of color contrasts in such interiors additionally highlights the various functions of the rooms, helping users intuitively find their way around the space. Color contrasts that are well matched to a given room function can also optically enlarge the space or isolate it. In modular interiors, it is also possible to create a coherent and at the same time dynamic design that combines different zones into a harmonious whole. Thanks to such solutions, interiors become more functional, aesthetic and user-friendly. Words of appreciation for the clearly presented documentation and for the graphic presentation of the interior design.
