This design effectively divides the hall into distinct zones catering to various student needs – working, relaxing, socializing, waiting, or enjoying art. The flow between zones, especially on the ground floor, appears logical. The organically shaped, multi-level podium with the integrated botanical garden is a compelling focal point. It successfully organizes the main space, provides diverse seating options (tables, poufs, lounging areas), and strongly introduces biophilic elements. The prominent integration of plants through the central garden and planters on the upper level significantly enhances the space's atmosphere, aligns with the goal of a comfortable environment.
Suggestions:
In a potentially high-traffic area near an auditorium, the open-plan design with predominantly hard surfaces (as suggested by renderings) could lead to noise issues. Consider incorporating acoustic strategies (e.g., acoustic ceiling elements, wall panels disguised as art backdrops, sound-absorbing materials in upholstery or planters) to ensure the work zone remains functional and the relaxation zones feel calm.
