Work description

Research Group: Drug Design and Di​sc​overy ​Center of Excellence for Precision Medicinehttps://www.sharjah.ac.ae/en/Research/RIMHSThe candidate will be responsible for synthesizing small molecules as potential anticancer and antibacterial agents. The candidate will learn and apply various purification techniques, including preparative HPLC, Puriflash column chromatography, and traditional column chromatography, to ensure the synthesized entities are of high purity. Using analytical techniques such as NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance), ESI-MS (Electrospray Ionization Mass Spectrometry), and LC-MS (Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry), the candidate will determine the structures of the synthesized compounds.This role appears to require a combination of synthetic chemistry skills, understanding of biological interactions, and proficiency in analytical techniques.It also emphasizes teamwork, suggesting that collaboration and effective communication within the research group are valued. The candidate is expected to actively participate in team projects, working collaboratively with group members to address challenging issues.
