Work description
The host is looking for a Data Engineer / AI & Innovation Engineer passionate about data analysis and product development optimization in the agri-food sector. You will play a key role in experimental exploration, modelling, and process automation to accelerate innovation and improve the accessibility of analyses.Main Responsibilities• Develop and enhance the experimental database by conducting design of experiments (DoE) and using tools for exploring the experimental space.• Perform advanced data analysis to predict and optimize food recipes (multi-objective approaches, Pareto optimization, machine learning, PLSR).• Structure and organize data to improve its usability (currently managed in KNIME).• Utilize artificial intelligence (ChatGPT, Google Notebook, web scraping) to optimize product development and accelerate R&D.• Develop tools to make analyses more accessible (integration with Google Sheets, automation with Python, development of a specialized GPT assistant).• Ensure a good understanding and use of analytical tools (rheometer, texturometer, dry matter measurement) and industrial processes (emulsification, homogenization, mixing).• Automate repetitive tasks via Python scripts and Google Sheets.• Develop a service using the CRISP-DM methodology for other companies.Personal Skills• High level of autonomy and effective project management.• Strong writing and pedagogical skills to make analyses accessible.• Ability to simplify complex concepts and present them to the team.• Good command of English.• Knowledge of the agri-food sector, including functional ingredients (proteins, starch, enzymes, gelling agents, emulsifiers), would be a plus.
