Civil Engineering Internship Project Topic: Urban Flood Modeling Using FLO-2D with Exploring the Effect of Urban Heat Island with Machine Learning Techniques Work Description: 1. Flood Simulation and Analysis: Use FLO-2D software to simulate and model flood scenarios in urban areas, considering terrain, infrastructure, and land use to understand flood impacts across the city. 2. Urban Heat Island (UHI) Effect: Apply machine learning techniques to study the Urban Heat Island effect, where urban areas have higher temperatures than surrounding rural areas, potentially increasing flood risks. 3. Predictive Modeling: Develop and refine machine learning-based predictive models to assess and forecast UHI’s impact on urban flooding.
