Work description
The University is looking for a motivated student to take part in the design of a data logginginterface using wireless network principle in order to facilitate the process of monitoringphysical parameters such as temperature, pressure, humidity, e.tc. The design will use bothArduino platform for the sensor network and a python platform for the data logging interfacewhich requires the knowledge of python scripting language. Each sensor node will beconnected wirelessly to the data logging device using the Wi-Fi protocol such that each deviceused in the network is Wi-Fi enabled including database server device. The students will beexpected to perform data processing and data visualization using MATLAB, coding and reviewof Python based scripts for data wrangling and validation, field measurements and dataacquisitions. In addition, the student will adhere to data quality requirements, performancemeasurements and benchmarking of sensor system solutions. Finally, the student will conduct astatistical analysis of test results and data sets and provide feedback throughout thedevelopment process.
