It is possible to choose between HELUZ ceramic concrete panels and HELUZ MIAKO ceilings. These are two types of construction from HELUZ and both have excellent features and their own advantages. The big advantage of HELUZ MIAKO is that it is cheaper and can be implemented by yourself. It is a system that is mainly suitable for ceilings.
In addition to the many indisputable advantages that come with the construction of massive ceiling and roof structures, (such as thermal inertia and accumulation, which ensures thermal comfort in winter and summer, and also significantly reduces the energy consumption of the house, as a result of which significantly saves the cost of acquiring additional technologies to reduce the energy consumption of the building, saves the costs of running the house, as well as significantly better acoustic properties), the massive/heavy ceiling/roof construction made of HELUZ ceramic concrete panels or HELUZ Miako ceiling will solve the storage space problem in the first phase - because this way we get a fully walkable attic/loft usable in many ways.
The heavy ceiling is actually a massive structure, made up mainly of brick material in combination with concrete and steel reinforcement. The big advantage of both systems is also the price. Compared to cast-in-place reinforced concrete slabs, both systems are significantly more affordable in terms of purchase price. In addition, they save time during construction and are immediately available, compared to purely reinforced concrete constructions made on site, which need time to mature and achieve the necessary load-bearing capacity.

• Protects the energy performance of the house

A house that is built entirely from the HELUZ system, including the ceiling/roof structure, does not get so hot that you feel the need to cool the house with air conditioning even in the hottest heat. "We are now in our fifth year of living in a house made from the complete system, including the ceramic concrete panels for the ceiling solution and the pitched roof. Under pressure from friends that had ceiling and roof constructions implemented with so-called lightweight construction, i.e. wooden trusses, blown insulation or mineral wool and plasterboard ceilings as ceiling, we were persuaded to install air conditioning cooling units, because we said we could not survive without it in summer. The reality is that due to thermal inertia, we have only used the air conditioner for two or three days at most in the whole summer for the last five years, and that was basically only when there were maybe three weeks of tropical temperatures above 30 degrees," shares Ms Klimesova's experience.
Constructions with greater thermal inertia help to increase the thermal stability of a room, such as the HELUZ Miako solid composite ceiling.

It is not possible to add a floor to the plasterboard or to have an attic. This disadvantage of a lightweight ceiling should be kept in mind if at the time of construction we cannot yet assess whether the space of the house will be sufficient.

The ceiling is therefore not suitable for the construction of buildings with extreme spans - halls, production plants (but for buildings of residential and civic amenities).
