Kindergarten of the 21st century

Idea projektu

When designing the building, I based on the connection of the exterior with the interior in terms of material solution and the creation of such a comprehensive harmony as a whole. The kindergarten is designed for children from 3-6 years divided into two classes. The total capacity is 48 children. The aim was to create spaces that will develop children's imagination and will not limit them. I created the main ship, which offers a lot of possibilities for children with its layout and thus acquires additional value, namely the use of these spaces even during adverse outdoor conditions. The main idea of the proposal is to create the most diverse playful possibilities of children and natural exploration of things and sharing space with children of different ages, younger natural learning from older and older children learning to respect younger children. In the kindergarten, emphasis is placed on ecology, e.g. green roof and growing your own organic food. In addition to the variety of activities for children, the main idea of the design was the variable height of the spaces, which made it possible to create a dynamic silhouette of the building. The main nave is two-storey, in one part "basement", which includes a food preparation, which can also be fully used because it uses the terrain and is fully illuminated by the grammar school because this terrain level reaches the height of one floor. Food transport is thus easily used from school canteens. As the building is situated in a part of the city that is in excellent connection with recreation and sports, I tried to connect the outdoor areas of the building and support activities outside on the first floor or on the second on the green roof.

Popis projektu

The layout solution arose not only from the requirements of the decree, but also from the support of the idea of the assignment "kindergarten of the 21st century". Overall, it is based on clarity, visual interconnection of spaces, minimization of corridors and the use of floor space for the movement of children. Toilets and washrooms are located so that they are directly connected to the areas where children change. My aim was to create a space for children that provides the possibility of variation, supports their creativity, all in the spirit of safety and hygiene principles. The preparation room for lunches and tens is accessible from the grammar school in the basement, so that the service bringing lunch is as simple as possible. Thanks to this, the preparation rooms are naturally illuminated and ventilated by the schools. The glass areas in the games room provide plenty of natural light and views of the surrounding greenery.

Technické informácie

In terms of construction, this building is a combination of masonry and concrete supporting structure. The overhanging wooden construction provides protection against bad weather and summer sun. The game room and the podium in the space require enough space for playing. The building is covered with a gently sloping roof with minimal attic and a glass railing. The roof can naturally be reached from the used terrain from the 2nd floor directly from Havlíčková street. The main goal in creating this proposal was to create such spaces that provide children with space to move and self-realize.
