Idea projektu
Connect coast is a design of mixed use block (mostly apartment houses) in connection with a conceptual design of new urban solution for a holiday resort near the cities of Starigrad and Zadar. Designed urban environment stretches between two bays and across the sloping area between the sea and busy road. The concept of three connections, which came up to me while analyzing the given location: It is the connection of the developed coast with other less active ports in the vicinity, the connection of the sea and the territory stretching up the hill on the edge of the Paklenica National Park, which offers tourism many opportunities and last but not least are the connections and gatherings of people that we know from the Mediterranean culture. The goal of the design, both urban and architectural, was to create a pleasant and welcoming environment for every visitor to experience the true beauty of the Mediterranean.
Popis projektu
The urban solution consists in a dense urban low-rise structure. The design combines the traditional way of historical Croatian construction, but also emphasizes ecological and sustainable urbanistic concepts. The architecture of the apartment houses consists mainly of open blocks with residential function and the prevailing active parterre. This closed structure helps create semi-public spaces. The facade solution of the apartment house combines both traditional Croatian architecture and modern ecological methods of recycling building materials, such as biobrick made from limestone, which is endemic to the Mediterranean environment.
Technické informácie
The structure system is modular combined, the column system prevails on the ground floor. The most striking ecological element of the design is the collection of solar energy using solar panels and the subsequent production of energy using photovoltaics. The proposal also includes heat pumps and the collection of any rainwater for community purposes.
