Cozmei, I commend your artistic flair in your perceptive renders. Overall, your concept is bold, creative and ambitious. However, there are few ares that could benefit from further consideration and refinement.
Firstly, let’s discuss the positive aspects of your project. The irregular shape of the building can be seen as bold and unique architectural statement, helping the Business Centre stand out from its surrounding. It has a huge potential to become an iconic structure within the urban landscape. The utilization of a glass facade can create a visually stunning effect, allowing natural light to permeate the interior spaces and providing a sense of transparency. The use of courtyards and plantation in the building design is an excellent addition that can greatly enhance the overall quality of the project.
However, it is crucial ensure that the design elements are balanced with practicality and functionality. The heavy cantilever, while aesthetically striking, raises concerns about structural integrity and engineering feasibility. The use of dome-shaped roof over the sporting hall doesn’t align with the overall concept. In my opinion, it is only adding to the structural complexity.
Moreover, the extensive use of glass in the facade presents certain challenges. Glass can be a beautiful material, but it also raises issues of energy efficiency and thermal comfort. Consider incorporating shading devices, or facade grills, to mitigate excessive heat gain and glare. Additionally, explore the possibilities of incorporating energy-efficient glazing systems to reduce the building's overall energy consumption.
Furthermore, I would encourage you to focus on the interior spaces of the Business Centre. While the exterior design is important, creating functional, adaptable, and comfortable workspaces for the building's users is equally crucial. Ensure that the layout allows for efficient circulation and promotes collaboration, to enhance the occupants' experience.
A well-planned circulation system is crucial in ensuring efficient movement and accessibility within the building. From your floor plans, it appears that the circulation planning may need further attention. It is important to consider the flow of people through various spaces, such as entrances, corridors, and common areas, to ensure smooth movement. Evaluate the placement of staircases, and elevators to provide convenient access to different levels of the building.
From your floor plans, it seems that the placement of toilets may not be optimal. Toilets should be strategically located to serve all areas of the building, providing easy access for occupants and visitors. Consider placing toilets near high-traffic areas, such as common areas and meeting rooms, and workspaces to minimize travel distances.
Lastly, don't forget to address the contextual integration of the Business Centre. Consider how the irregular shape and glass facade can interact harmoniously with the surrounding residential buildings and traffic. Pay attention to the scale, materials, and architectural language of the neighboring structures to create a cohesive urban fabric.
In conclusion, your project, "A Business Centre," showcases your creativity and ambition as a student architect. However, it is essential to refine certain aspects of the design to ensure structural integrity, energy efficiency, and user comfort. I encourage you to collaborate with professionals from various disciplines to strengthen the project and bring it closer to realization.
Keep up the spirit and continue pushing the boundaries of architectural design. I look forward to seeing how you develop your skills and ideas further.
All the Best!
