The objective of the project is much more connected to the physical context of the site. The intention is to create a new connection between the city and the sea. Quite a simple strait forward design concept emerged from a problem identified in the existing context. The student has identified that the existing setting has deliberately made a separation, which is an issue to be resolved in the proposed development.
The concept is tried to be achieved by proposing a master plan, which is commendable.
3-dimensional visualization with details on built masses, inspired by sea waves is impressive. The whole scheme as a monumental area by the sea is quite well expressed in the design. Thoughts include flowy passages between each building-connecting them together with elevated tunnels linked, and connecting the elements of the scheme.
As same as the physical links, the visual links are to be further considered.
Detailing of the linkages, connectivity with the rest of the city, and inspiration from the sea waves are to be better detailed in the sections. Also, detailed perspective views showing the strategies used in those linkages would have been well-informed for the reader. Overall, the concept of city sea link is well achieved in terms of its urban design idea, and its detailing, contributing spaces, and places with details can be better expressed.
