Dear Ahmed Sameh and Mai Diab
You have done a very good job in designing urban housing entitled "WAVES Compound". It is really aesthetical pleasing functional and implementable. Though I have very few comments for improvement.
1. In you design you have done a very good job for coming up with 32 buildings that have variety in terms of building typology (5) and considered 4 income levels. The gap is that you should have also included variety of Architectural plans in terms of bedroom number specially for low and middle incomes. Which means you means your design will be rich in variety if you could have included (Studio type, one bedroom, two bedroom and three bedroom) plan typologies. Analyzing your plan your design is dominated with two-bedroom typology only.
2. Urban design, landscape design and architectural designers should think about inclusivity in terms of their accessibility to the disabled. Seeing from your design it looks you haven't considered it. Design should be inclusive.
3. Issue of car parking is also not clearly communicated in your design or dedicated space for parking is not considered in your design.
4. You have mentioned that there is "A commercial hub with wave-shaped roofs and facades provides retail, dining, and office spaces, fostering local business growth" however the design and dedicated space is not clearly communicated in your presentation.
5.You have also mentioned that the design includes as "Sustainable design principles, including solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and green roofs, are integrated to ensure environmental responsibility". However, your design (Urban design and 3D and landscape) doesn't communicate these specific elements that you have mentioned such as green roof, solar panels and rainwater harvesting mechanisms.
6. Your street layout doesn't look sustainable because it doesn't incorporate sustainable street design principles such as walkability (pedestrian friendly) dedicated pedestrian walkways should be clearly communicated, bicycle spaces, street greenery,
